I think I'd marry a Biden. If I really do make it to law school next year, and actually go through with this new plan, I could be part of the Biden III campaign in 12 years. 'Cause after tonight, we all know that is coming. Strange to think about, unlikely, but if I ever actually found motivation to do anything again, I could get there.
Bill Clinton actually looked like Geppetto sitting high above and pulling the strings. I was half expecting him to start mouthing the words along with her. I wonder if she finally divorce his ass in 4 years when this White House run finally exhausts itself?
Being the first time watching a convention and all, I was completely taken aback by the idea that all of the movies and books I've read that were supposed to satirize politics and politicians were almost spot on. The governor of Montana was actually wearing a bolo and was so enthralled with himself and his country I was waiting for him to use the words 'yippee kayyay'. I see John Goodman playing him in the movie.
Drove back to campus yesterday for one last wing night before graduation. Only a few people were back, but our regular waitress was sad that almost no one was there, then we came back and watched Grey's and had a few drinks, and tried to ignore the fact that in a few days it will all be over. Though everyone was graduating and going back to school in some form, being teaching or grad school, we're all too chicken to try and get real jobs instead apparently.
I still don't think it's hit me yet, maybe when they actually hand me my cap and gown tomorrow? I'm not looking forward to going to pick up final grades though, because they've already been posted, and I'm missing graduating cum laude by 4 hundreths of a point. So frickin close! I know I shouldn't be disappointed, because I made it through those few classes that hated me better than I thought I would, but it still sucks to be that close. If I hadn't gotten that damn C in anthropology. I guess this is where I have to learn to let things go.
Now, I'm sitting around just waiting... Next few days should be interesting....
First actual Snow Day on campus in 5 years, and it was like 60 years before that. Hopefully this will be the last blizzard I get to experience, as much as I loved sitting around all day, watching tv in my pj's and doing nothing else, the view from my window was as close to the actual snow as I wanted to get, it's gonna be fun walking through it tomorrow to get to class.
